MM-HIIT is a fitness acronym for Multimodal High-Intensity Interval Training. It means going beyond cardio to include strength training, full-body exercises such as burpees, and any other activity you can reasonably do in short bursts to tone, strengthen, and improve your overall fitness. Expanding your focus to include muscle training, strength, and endurance could give you even better health benefits than traditional HIIT training alone.
This simple program includes 12 assorted bodyweight exercises you can choose from to create a standard MM-HIIT workout. The workout consists of three rep-based and time-based exercises performed over six 60-second rounds. You complete the two rep-based exercises first. Then do the time-based exercise for the remainder of the 60 seconds and rest for 3 minutes. That's one round. The goal is to complete six rounds. It's up to you how many rounds you do. So, try it out and have fun with it.
